Tatiana DeLawyer – Limmer – Dance Instructor
Tatiana De Lawyer-Limmer has been a part of the Revolution Elite Dance family since its inception in October of 2015. She has taught numerous classes, choreographed, and assisted with the RED Elites.
Tatiana was born in California but has lived in Lubbock since the age of four. She was enrolled in dance when she was three years old in an effort to overcome shyness. Tatiana started her training in Lubbock at Briercroft Academy of Dance with Janis Geddes, where she took dance for two years. She then continued her training at Lubbock Fine Arts under Diane McElwrath. Under the instruction of Lubbock Fine Arts, Tatiana won Teen Miss Dance for Dance Masters of America Chapter 35 in 2003 and again in 2005. She has won numerous awards with Dance Masters of America and Showstoppers, receiving high awards in solo and duet. She also had the pleasure of attending the DMA National Convention in Las Vegas and Nashville. In 2005, Tatiana enrolled at Ballet Lubbock to focus on her ballet technique. Through Ballet Lubbock, Tatiana had the opportunity to audition for ballet workshops. Her summer workshops included Kansas City Ballet in 2006. Tatiana was a member of the Lubbock High Pom Squad during her sophomore and junior years, where she had the pleasure of attending the Marching Auxiliaries camp and competition. In her senior year of high school, she devoted her time to the Ballet Lubbock Company. As a member of the Ballet Lubbock Company, Tatiana had the privilege to perform for Regional Dance America, choreograph for performances, and mentor younger dancers. Tatiana taught ballet and jazz at Ballet Lubbock for numerous years. She has taught at numerous community centers and the Hub Performing Arts School, as well.
Tatiana went on to continue her education in dance at Texas Tech University. While attending Texas Tech, Tatiana was a member of the TTU Dance Company and the dance honor society Chi Tau Epsilon. Tatiana had the pleasure of attending the American College Dance Festival during her Freshman and Junior years. Her work, “Family Portrait”, was performed at ACDF in 2011 and was one of the ten pieces selected to perform in the Gala Performance. Tatiana was the Ballet 1 Teaching Assistant at TTU during her senior year. In December 2012, Tatiana received her BFA in Dance and BA in Accounting.
Tatiana’s passion is teaching ballet. She is incredibly excited to be a part of Revolution Elite Dance’s staff and hopes she can spread her love of dance to her students.
