Morgan Lashaway was born in California and began dancing at a local studio at the age of two.
Her first dance class was tap and she has loved it ever since. After moving to Pearland, Texas
when she was six, she began training in all styles of dance. Morgan danced for eight years at
Dance Expressions taking classes in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary and modern. Within
those eight years Morgan was introduced to conventions and competitions. She danced on her
competition team as well as competing solos and duets. After middle school she began taking
classes at Dance Zone and attending several new conventions and competitions. Morgan
danced on her high school drill team all four years and held two officer positions including
Captain her senior year. She continued to study all styles of dance while teaching tap. Morgan
has taught tap for four years and enjoys teaching all styles. She is currently on teaching staff at
Crowd Pleasers and is a communications major at Texas Tech University. Morgan loves leading
others to learn more about the style that started her dance career and cannot wait to continue
to share her passion with her students.
