My name is Lauren Lund; I was born on October 28th, 1996 in Omaha Nebraska.  I began taking ballet, tap, and jazz at the age of four.  At age seven I began training at Nebraska Dance and started competing at age 11.  I trained extensively in ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, technique, and hip hop.  As a freshman, I made the Varsity Dance Team at Elkhorn South High School, and went on to win a Nebraska State Jazz Title and four Nebraska State Hip Hop Titles.  I was elected captain of my high school dance team my senior year.  Throughout high school, I trained about 30 hours a week between competitive dance and high school dance team.

I traveled around the midwest entering solos and group dances in competitions, taking class at conventions, and competing at Showbiz Nationals in Daytona Beach, Florida three times.  As a junior in high school I won West Coast Dance Explosion Elite Dancer in Denver, Colorado.  This past May I auditioned for the Texas Tech Pom Squad and made the outstanding team.  I moved down from Omaha this past August to attend Texas Tech University as a Nutrition Science/Dietetics major and to pursue my dream on a nationally known competitive collegiate dance team.
