Originally from Massapequa Park, New York, Amelia began dancing at the age of three. She is trained in jazz, ballet, musical theatre, hip hop, modern, contemporary, kickline/drill team, pom, ballroom, and dance fitness. Amelia moved to Austin, Texas in 2006 and continued her dance education at multiple studios in the Austin area such as TexARTS Academy, 620 Dance Centre, and Balance Dance Studios. She was a founding member of the Lake Travis Middle School Jazz Company and continued her dancing as a drill team member of the Lake Travis High School Cavalettes for four years and served as Senior Lieutenant her senior year. She has competed at several dance competitions and attended several conventions across Texas. She has been a member of the Texas Tech University Pom Squad and is currently a member of the Texas Tech University Dance Company. In addition, she is an ambassador for the College of Visual and Performing Arts and a member of the dance honor society Chi Tau Epsilon. She is currently getting a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and a minor in Personal Financial Planning at Texas Tech University.
Amelia has performed at the Macy’s Day Parade, Pasadena Rose Bowl Parade, Disney World, Dallas Cowboy’s Stadium, San Antonio Spurs Basketball, American Dance College Association Conference, The Big 12 Basketball Conference Tournament, Texas Tech University Football, Basketball, and Volleyball Games, Daytona Beach-National Dance Alliance Nationals, and internationally in Sorrento, Italy. Amelia has worked as a part-time dance instructor at the Dance, Aerial, and Fitness Studio called Body Lab in Austin, Texas. She has taught intensives focusing on technique, flexibility, conditioning, drill team, jazz, and hip hop. Locally in Lubbock, Amelia has performed in the Texas Tech University’s Fall Dance Festival, Dance Tech, and the musical “Cabaret”.
Amelia has a strong passion for dance and hopes to inspire her students to grow as dancers and performers.
